New ‘Soundbreaking’ Series To Feature Members Of Beatles, Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd & More

Titled Soundbreaking, the documentary series will spotlight various “groundbreaking” achievements in the realm of all things musical. The list of musicians who were interviewed is extraordinary, only making us more excited for the series to premiere.Over 150 artists will appear, including Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Tom Petty, Roger Waters, Mickey Hartm Roger Daltrey, Dave Grohl, Questlove, Bon Iver, Willie Nelson, Beck, B.B. King, Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz, Joni Mitchell, Debbie Harry, Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels, Mark Knopfler, Brian Eno, Nile Rodgers, Quincy Jones, Rick Rubin, Tony Visconti, RZA, Daniel Lanois, and Mark Ronson.Watch the trailer, which premiered on Rolling Stone, below:The series was also meant to spotlight the work of producer George Martin, who passed away at the age of 90 last week. In a statement, Martin recently said, “Soundbreaking afforded me the opportunity to tell the story of the creative process of so many of the artists I have worked with throughout my life.” As such, the series put together a short tribute with artists talking about Martin’s creative work throughout the years.Soundbreaking will broadcast on PBS stations, weeknights from November 14 – 23 at 10 p.m. ET. first_imgThe second Siemens 7MW wind turbine was installed at the Nissum Bredning site on 17 December, with all the transition pieces now placed on their corresponding gravity jacket foundations.Image: Nissum Brednings VindmøllelaugThe first two turbines are now installed at positions M2 and M4 and, after the Matador 3 crane vessel installed the transition pieces at positions M1 and M3, local firm Østermark Grouting started grouting the foundations at those positions to prepare them for wind turbine installation.The project team hopes for weather conditions to be good enough these days to have all four wind turbines installed before Christmas, according to an update on project’s social media pages.Once all four turbines are installed at the site, they will be grid-connected using Siemens new cable and turbine concept with a 66kV voltage. Currently, Danish company JD Contractor is laying the cables.The turbine components are being transported out of the Port of Esbjerg and are being installed onto their foundations directly from the Osprey Valliant barge.Offshore WIND Stafflast_img read more

first_img2015 in hockey was headlined by Ghana’s inability to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio next year.The male team failed in their attempt to pick the only slot available for Africa after finishing fourth in the Olympic Qualifying competition in Randburg, South Africa.The Black Sticks lost heavily to Egypt in the semifinals curtailing any dreams of making the Olympics. The standout performance at the tournament however was Ghana’s 27-0 victory over Botswana.The story was the same in the women’s division with Ghana missing out on a spot in Rio after losing to eventual Champions South Africa in a round robin tie.Despite this blip, female sensation Nafisatu Umaru was adjudged best player of the tournament. On the local front, Trustees of the Social Security and National Trust secured the Beige Capital hockey knockout competition in addition to the hockey league.In the women’s category, Police Ladies won the ladies Atta Mills Memorial cup, and the hockey league despite losing the Beige Capital hockey knockout to ExtinguishersAway from the field, two executives of the Ghana Hockey Association (Madam Elizabeth Safoah King, and Nii Quaye Kuma were elected as executives of the Africa Hockey Federation (FIH).While Madam King, the GHA Treasurer, was elected unopposed at a congress held in Johanesburg , Nii Kuma beat two other contestants to win the position as vice president of the federation.   Follow Joy Sports on Twitter: @Joy997FM.
