first_imgGurugram: A part of the house of a cabinet minister Rao Narbir Singh will be razed for the construction of the elevated flyover that is being built on the Sohna road flyover.According to the sources, Rao Inderjit Singh who is also the public welfare department official has given his consent to the officials. To expedite the construction of Gurugram’s first elevated flyover the public agencies have begun razing the commercial and residential structures along the area. In the present two phases, the government agencies have razed over 80 structures. Despite providing a deadline of completion of the eleven-kilometre long elevated flyover, various challenges plague the project. The difficulties have instead caused the work at the project yet not started. The total amount of investment in the projects is slated to be around Rs 1100 crores and will begin from Vatika chowk in Sohna extending all the way to Bhondsi. Besides extending the width of the road there are also plans to build two elevated flyovers at the busy route. The deadline for the completion of the project has been kept in the time period one and a half years. With Gurugram being the major point at Delhi -Mumbai corridor this is the third major project where the National Highway Authority of India along with the state government will invest to revamp the city roads.last_img
